About Us
| | James Boice, MD completed undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona, and received his medical doctorate from the University of Utah. After completing his internship/residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center of San Diego, he was a staff pathologist at the National Naval Medical Center and Military Medical School in Bethesda. Training opportunities included the AFIP, Johns Hopkins and the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. He arrived in Chico in 1981 and, with his wife Sally, has raised three boys. Dr. Boice is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. | |

| | Mark R. Carter, MD received his medical degree and pathology training from Loma Linda University followed by a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Harvard. Dr. Carter joined PSMG in 2006 after serving four years in the U.S. Air Force at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio where he was the Director of Surgical Pathology as well as the Medical Director of Transfusion Services. Dr. Carter is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. | |

| | Nelson K. Kaneishi, MD attended the University of Washington in Seattle for his undergraduate and medical education. He completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of California Davis Medical Center, followed by a dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in Dallas under Dr. Clay Cockerell. He joined PSMG in 1996. Dr. Kaneishi is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Dermatopathology. | |

| | Anthony Nasr, PhD, MD is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his doctoral degree in Anatomy at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and Medical training at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of California San Francisco, where he served as Associate Clinical Professor of Pathology before coming to PSMG in 1993. | |

| | Rebekah Wold, MD joined PSMG in 1994 following fellowship training in Cytopathology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She completed her undergraduate and medical school studies at the University of California, Davis followed by an internship in Surgery and residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. While she enjoys all aspects of Pathology, her subspecialties include fine needle aspiration performance and interpretation and pap smear interpretation. Dr. Wold is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and is subspecialty board certified in Cytopathology. | |

| | Lester K. Wong, MD has been with PSMG since 1986, following a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His medical degree is from Northwestern University Medical School, and his residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology was at the University of California Medical School, Davis, Medical Center. Dr. Wong is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. | |
